PROJECTS
SLICED EGGS
This sculpture is an abstraction of the past, present, and future of Draper City. It contains 5 groupings of polished stainless steel "ribs" representing the high tech future of the City. The shape of each rib was derived from the profile of an egg - a reference to the roots of Draper as a large egg-producing community in early pioneer days.

MINING STRANDS
The ceiling installation is made of over 1,000 individual strands of large-scale ball chain. The strands are arranged in five tiered concentric rings. As seen from below, it appears like a view of the Bingham Copper Mine. Each tier is formed in a different color (brass, aluminum, copper, and steel), representing the different metals extracted from the mine.15' diameter x 6' tall

TRANSFORM THE WORLD
The shape of each fin in this canopy sculpture progressively transforms into more dynamic forms as one walks under the canopy. The result is an organically flowing feel as one moves through the structure. This transformation is a metaphor for the students that attend the school - as they work hard, they can transform their potential and have the ability to impact the world in positive ways.

MILLING AROUND
"Milling Around" is a two-story wall installation made up of hundreds of athletic shoes. It has reference to the rec center's purpose as well as the history of the area. The shoes are a nod to the function of the building (a basketball court and jogging track), and the shape refers to the grinding circular mill stones that were part of the site over a hundred years ago.

STANDING TALL
"Standing Tall" is a modern interpretation of the famous lady justice sculpture, with her blindfold representing impartiality, scales to weigh evidence of the accused, and a sword to exercise an appropriate verdict. Tooza Design's interpretation sets the Lady Justice atop a series of precast benches, that progressively change shape from random and angular, to uniform and regular. This represents the process of the District Attorney in bringing order to chaos.

KINETIC COMMITMENT AND MEMORIES IN MOTION
"Kinetic Commitment" is a series of seven steel rings, arranged in a simple pattern reminiscent of a large fire hose. The unbroken circular shapes represent the unity and teamwork required by the firefighters. Three of the rings inscribed with words from the Department's mission, and are mounted to swiveling bases, providing a kinetic, constantly changing quality. This installation represents the firefighters' work, which is filled with movement, responsiveness and focused direction.

"Memories in Motion" is a series of aluminum rings, varying in depth, composed on printed wood panels. The varying depth of the rings provide a fluid and undulating feel, reinforcing the kinetic concept of the exterior installation. Inside each ring, a portion of a large image of firefighters is visible. When viewed from a distance, the entire scene is evident whereas when viewed from other angles, the rings and imagery become abstractions of color. The installation serves as a starting point for Fire Station 14, allowing firefighters to place new images of their experiences within the rings, thus creating a constantly changing mural that documents the legacy and memories of the station.

CHILDREN AT PLAY
"Children at Play" is a mixed media window installation at the headquarters branch of the Davis County Library. The primary element is a stylized depiction of playing children fashioned out of hand-hammered cast aluminum. Spaces between the elements are filled with the colored resin panels, resulting in a modernized stain glass window aesthetic. A background graphic of a tree is integrated into the installation.

CITY CREEK HISTORIC MARKERS
The City Creek Historic Markers are a series of 19 cast bronze plaques identifying significant sites within the development's boundaries. The largest marker is a large map of Salt Lake City from 1871 placed into the floor of the sky bridge over the middle of main street. Standing on the map allows one to look out over the City and reflect on its growth and development of the last 150 years.
